The SME of the Year Award celebrates small and medium-sized enterprises that show outstanding commitment to skills development and employee training. This award honours an SME that demonstrates innovation in training practices, a strong culture of learning, and a positive impact on their workforce. LCS Civils are delighted to be recognised for their dedication to employee learning. Over the past year, LCS has significantly increased efforts in apprenticeship schemes and training advancements. They have attended numerous apprentice fairs to engage with young students and participated in talks and workshops at high schools to motivate and inform students about alternative career paths. Additionally, LCS has been collaborating with Wigan and Leigh College on their new ‘Believe in Your Future’ scheme and has since become construction career ambassadors.
